06/21/2005 | Service Project with VOIS

A one day service project was realized in cooperation with Volunteers of the International Student (VOIS) from Korea and Japan, the Albanian Family Federation, Chris Davies Band, the local Mayor’s Office and local citizens of Porto Romano. The various service activities and the evening feast was a great international and intercultural exchange for all of the participants.

The main target of the service activities, which was decided in communication with citizens of Porto Romano and the Local Mayor’s Office, was to rebuild the blocked waste-water channel, as well as collecting scrap throughout the village and enhancing the schoolyard.

07/02/2005 | First part of the Water Waste Channel Finished by Local Citizens

Because of unexpected problems, we could not finish the water-waste channel as we planned and the rest of work on the first part of channel had to be done by the local community. Local citizens also contributed financially to build the water-waste channel. The outcome was even better than was originally planned.
